The core of Stage 3 is the upgraded turbocharger system, typically a hybrid IS38-style upgrade or equivalent big turbo conversion, engineered to deliver significantly higher airflow and boost capacity than the factory K03 unit. To support this increase in performance, a high-flow or decat downpipe, uprated intercooler, cold air intake system, and upgraded spark plugs are required to ensure stable combustion and controlled intake temperatures under sustained load. In most applications, an upgraded high-pressure fuel pump is also fitted to maintain consistent fueling at higher boost levels.
To ensure the drivetrain can handle the increased torque, a DSG (TCU) calibration is included for automatic models. This upgrade improves clutch pressure, shift speed, and torque management, allowing the transmission to efficiently deliver power to the wheels while maintaining smooth and predictable behaviour under both daily driving and high-performance conditions.
